The dormitory was built in 1964 and named after the Danish physicist and electrical technician Peder Oluf Pedersen, who was the principal of the Polytekniske Learning Center (DTU).
The dormitory belongs is under the housing association, PKS, and lies in scenic areas between Bagsværd and Kgs. Lyngby. The dormitory is from 1964 and has been thoroughly renovated in 1993-94. It consists of two blocks with a total of 24 kitchens, each divided between 11-12 rooms. Most of the rooms are single rooms and 46 are apartments.
There is great emphasis on the social in the individual kitchens as well as for the whole dormitory. It is especially through the dormitory’s various offerings such as table tennis, a poolroom, a multi room, a multisport course, a large outdoor areas, a football team and the dormitory’s bar “Falladen” that all the residents are gathered.
